Leaves a smoother surface profile than sand or slag media. Garnet is a sub rounded to angular blasting media used in medium to heavy metal and coatings removal application. Additionally garnet features a strong grain structure that allows it to be recycled for multiple blasting uses. We recommend garnet over glass abrasive when it is necessary to remove very hard and deeply pitted rust mill scale other tough coatings when profiling hardened steel and definitely when water jet cutting.
